How We Research AI Receptionists

ReceptionistLab Verified Research methodology for AI receptionists: source verification, pricing, capabilities, integrations, limitations, buyer fit, and update freshness.

The ReceptionistLab Verified Research standard

ReceptionistLab is designed to publish useful buyer guidance without pretending that source research is the same as hands-on product use. Each page separates provider-published facts, editorial analysis, and optional first-hand evidence when that evidence genuinely exists.

What “Verified Research” means

Pricing & billingVerify current price, included usage, overages, and billing unit.
Call handlingDocument answering, routing, transfer, and intake capabilities.
Booking & schedulingConfirm calendar support, booking rules, and plan requirements.
IntegrationsCheck native integrations, Zapier/Make support, and workflow limits.
Coverage & languageVerify hours, language support, and multi-location fit where relevant.
Records & follow-upCompare transcripts, summaries, notifications, recordings, and data access.
LimitationsSurface plan gates, usage constraints, exclusions, and important caveats.
Buyer fitMatch the documented product to realistic business size and workflow needs.
Source qualityPrefer official pricing, documentation, terms, and product pages.
FreshnessDate material checks so readers can see when changing facts were last verified.

Source hierarchy

  1. Official pricing and plan pages.
  2. Official product documentation, help centers, terms, and integration directories.
  3. Official affiliate-program terms only for commission disclosures—not product-quality claims.
  4. Credible third-party material when a primary source does not answer a necessary question, clearly attributed.

Provider claims versus our analysis

A feature listed by a provider can be reported as documented, but source verification does not independently prove call quality, accuracy, latency, or reliability. We avoid converting marketing claims into first-hand conclusions.

Freshness standard

Changing facts such as price, included usage, free trials, integrations, and plan gates should carry a verification date and be rechecked during substantive updates.

Optional hands-on upgrade

Hands-on testing is not required for the site to launch or for a research-based guide to be useful. If a product is later configured and tested, ReceptionistLab may add a clearly labeled hands-on evidence section. A numeric hands-on score can appear only when a valid tested date and evidence summary are recorded.
